Eustaquio Jaizki started the match with the kick off. Mugur Chiriac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Armindo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim de Barros's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 19th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Anselmo Nevada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Caeiro in the 30th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Joaquim de Barros made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Shao Kun Yuan got a free kick in the 40th minute. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Mugur Chiriac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim de Barros to make the kick off. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 53rd minute of play. When VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Mugur Chiriac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 61 minutes, Luís Caeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VB-Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Caeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Shao Kun Yuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VB-Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. Club Atlético Atlanta's Benigno Abreu was substituted for Remigio Erramu. VB-Team made a substitution. Traian Hăvârneanu replaced Luís Caeiro. In the 67th minute, Shao Kun Yuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Joaquim de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal and Joaquim de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Joaquim de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Armindo Salgado managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim de Barros in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pankracy Glogowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Hăvârneanu in the 76th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Traian Hăvârneanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pankracy Glogowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 78th minute of play. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 83rd minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Mugur Chiriac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, VB-Team's Armindo Salgado got control of the ball when Eustaquio Jaizki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
