Despite this Esteban Dreer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Esteban Dreer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Mattias Jonasson kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Hägele, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 26th match minute, GALACTICOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrés Hong to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game Joaquim de Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALACTICOS's Esteban Dreer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. VB-Team were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after GALACTICOS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Rezende took the corner. Arthur Guerra was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Noel Hägele made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes GALACTICOS got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Nesta. When Noel Hägele came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the GALACTICOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Hägele couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Noel Hägele ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. VB-Team made a substitution. Sandro Leitão replaced Qiu Sheng Bang. Alisson De Gasperi hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Elco Vid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Hägele came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GALACTICOS were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after VB-Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrés Hong took the corner. In the 89th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alisson De Gasperi to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Dreer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Hăvârneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Noel Hägele hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
