The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista got control of the ball when Saffet Maksum tried to sneak it across the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, one of ALTAY MYTHS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. ALTAY MYTHS:s Cüneyt Baba showed great skill when he stopped Gilmar Borges:s penalty. 5 minutes into the match, Gilmar Borges notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba. Cüneyt Baba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Marcinho Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Matungo Gaúcho's Marcinho Sena seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcinho Sena the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Matungo Gaúcho protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcinho Sena had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 21 minutes into the match, Matungo Gaúcho's goalkeeper Ademir Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erdi Demir. Erdi Demir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ademir Baptista made a huge save. ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Florinio in the 25th minute of play. Cüneyt Baba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Florinio in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, ALTAY MYTHS's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Lalla came free, but Cüneyt Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cüneyt Baba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ademir Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahim Akın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milosz Hejza kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Prospero Lalla came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Matungo Gaúcho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Lalla couldn't finish the play. Cüneyt Baba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milosz Hejza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilmar Borges made a kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Gilmar Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matungo Gaúcho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilmar Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cüneyt Baba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademir Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Işıkalp Gençyaz in the 71st minute of play. After 77 played minutes Matungo Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Henk van Putten. ALTAY MYTHS's Mesut Alpaslan was substituted for Erdi Demir. A collision led to Matungo Gaúcho getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Henk van Putten hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Saffet Maksum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cüneyt Baba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilmar Borges in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes ALTAY MYTHS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilmar Borges who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gilmar Borges almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ALTAY MYTHS's Cüneyt Baba did a great save. Gilmar Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Cüneyt Baba made a huge save. After having played for 87 minutes, Gilmar Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matungo Gaúcho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matungo Gaúcho's Ademir Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mesut Alpaslan in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gilmar Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matungo Gaúcho were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ALTAY MYTHS to leave the ground with a draw.
