Franc Merlot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Michael in the 6th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Max Verstappen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, TiGrEs Fx's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Marquez came free, but Franc Merlot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes TiGrEs Fx got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Quintana. Gilberto Rancaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Bonifaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Rancaño in the 15th minute of play. Joaquim Matute's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tomás Bonifaco firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Gilberto Rancaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Sven-Olof Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franc Merlot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franc Merlot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Michael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Timoteo Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franc Merlot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candelaria FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marciano Lekubegi in the 31st minute. Candelaria FC's Jefferson de Sena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franc Merlot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute Candelaria FC were awarded a corner. Marciano Lekubegi went to the cornerflag to take it. Gilberto Rancaño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomás Bonifaco came out and tried to block the shot, but Gilberto Rancaño slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arnaldo Marquez made the kick off in the second half. Franc Merlot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Pellen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the game, TiGrEs Fx's Gilberto Rancaño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Bonifaco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Candelaria FC's Antonio Alzamendi was substituted for Arnaldo Marquez. Candelaria FC made a substitution. Christian Gómez replaced Bart Pellen. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gilberto Rancaño managed to get in a good position for a shot. TiGrEs Fx's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Rancaño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Bonifaco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TiGrEs Fx's Mister Peet was substituted for Gerardo Trimiño. In the 67th minute, Sven-Olof Sjöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, TiGrEs Fx's Gilberto Rancaño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomás Bonifaco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Gómez in the 70th minute of play forced TiGrEs Fx's goalkeeper Franc Merlot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Max Verstappen fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria FC's protests and gave Max Verstappen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Max Verstappen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Rancaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Rancaño in the 76th minute of the match. Franc Merlot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Olof Sjöberg in the 88th minute. Gilberto Rancaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Candelaria FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TiGrEs Fx.
