In the 17th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Rekawiczka to maneuver through the defense. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Stefan Banaszak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rexino having to interfere. Ramón Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Furtado in the 47th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roderick van Boxel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Ramón Furtado made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Rexino. Seagulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 68th minute, Ramón Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 86 minutes into the match, Dênis Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Rexino. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dênis Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Furtado in the 89th minute of play. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Flamengo FSCMZ had won after a very even match.
