After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Olavo Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seterma Tractors were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Montevideo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gil Neves took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gil Neves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronaldo Medeiros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15th minute of the game, Christian Passos landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 16 minutes into the game, Edgardo Bauza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seterma Tractors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevideo the free kick. Montevideo's Ronaldão Toscano was substituted for Christian Passos. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Seterma Tractors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideo:s goal. Pedro Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldão Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Olavo Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pedro Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Matorin in the 25th minute of play. Olavo Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ronaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademir Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Lucas in the 32nd minute of the match. Olavo Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Pedro Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademir Tande's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Laerte Lucas struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pedro Čech didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montevideo. Montevideo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Čech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pedro Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Matorin in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Toscano came free, but Pedro Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldão Toscano in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldão Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Lucas got free with Pedro Čech in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Čech made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Laerte Lucas sent off a good shot on target. In the 57thth minute of the game Ronaldão Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Čech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldão Toscano in the 58th minute. In the 65th minute of the match, Laerte Lucas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Čech was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. João Paulo de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Čech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Pedro Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo de Alcântara in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Seterma Tractors getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Felipe Barros hit a great ball. After having played for 79 minutes, João Paulo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Seterma Tractors booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Pedro Čech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laerte Lucas. Pedro Čech was a little too slow when Laerte Lucas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 92nd match minute, Seterma Tractors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Santana to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo de Alcântara came free, but Pedro Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Montevideo's João Paulo de Alcântara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Čech. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play. When the match was over Montevideo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Seterma Tractors throughout the match.
