In the 21st minute, Fabiano Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ksawery Winnicki in the 23rd minute of play. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Winnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Luís Paulo Trevisan made a precise shot to the right of Reko Nybacka. Catugi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Roceira SC's Hulk Speed in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catugi FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fabiano Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Marcelinho Barral made a huge save. Carlos Alberto Soares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Marcelinho Barral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Ksawery Winnicki suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Alvarenga during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Roceira SC booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Trevisan in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hulk Speed was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Reko Nybacka successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Válter Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka got control of the ball when Válter Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabiano Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Maranhense in the 67th minute of play forced Roceira SC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Ernesto de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roceira SC the free kick. After 68 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto de Amaral. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Reko Nybacka got control of the ball when Válter Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Roceira SC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luís Paulo Trevisan hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Roceira SC's Hulk Speed slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reko Nybacka. That made the score 0-2 after 87 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Roceira SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
