Adalberto Breckenfeld was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Sao Brasola's Deng Jian Bing got a free kick in the 6th minute. Adalberto Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Asklöv, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Sao Brasola's Urbano Saturnin got control of the ball when Toninho Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adalberto Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Asklöv in the 16th minute of the match. BOTAFOGO's Adalberto Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Asklöv in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Joseph Asklöv who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BOTAFOGO's Adalberto Breckenfeld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sao Brasola's Joseph Asklöv in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kauan Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbano Saturnin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Urbano Saturnin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 36th minute of the match Sao Brasola got a corner. BOTAFOGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Deng Jian Bing ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adalberto Breckenfeld stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joseph Asklöv's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, BOTAFOGO's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Asklöv came free, but Adalberto Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joseph Asklöv in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute Sao Brasola were awarded a corner. Deng Jian Bing went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Nojus Barasa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Gernando de Toledo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Adalberto Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deng Jian Bing in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Kauan Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience was convinced that Joseph Asklöv's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Breckenfeld was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Cesare Punta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Adalberto Breckenfeld made a huge save. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sao Brasola's goalkeeper Urbano Saturnin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orhan Bozdoğan's late challenge caught a BOTAFOGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orhan Bozdoğan helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sao Brasola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Kauan Melo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Urbano Saturnin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. BOTAFOGO were furious when Gernando de Toledo was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 73rd minute, one of BOTAFOGO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BOTAFOGO. Édouard Deloge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Saturnin having to interfere. Adalberto Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Asklöv in the 80th minute. Adalberto Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nojus Barasa in the 84th minute of the match. If Joseph Asklöv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Asklöv in the 86th minute of play forced BOTAFOGO's goalkeeper Adalberto Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sao Brasola's Joseph Asklöv got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Cesare Punta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Sao Brasola players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
