Playa Malvín's Stelian Murgu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Albino Dimas, made in the 3rd minute of the game. If Gong Qi Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Elmhuus came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Roland Banaszak. But to his dismay, Roland Banaszak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darwin Núñez. Mateo Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Qi Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Merengue FC's zone, Gong Qi Fan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Llorienzo came out of the goal and Gong Qi Fan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Qi Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gong Qi Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Llorienzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gong Qi Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Qi Fan in the 22nd minute of play. Playa Malvín's Nils Elmhuus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Núñez in the 23rd minute of play. Gong Qi Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mateo Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Qi Fan, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute Gong Qi Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Qi Fan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. Mateo Llorienzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gong Qi Fan went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darwin Núñez in the 39th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Gong Qi Fan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Llorienzo was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Roland Banaszak made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Qi Fan in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Llorienzo saved Merengue FC from getting behind. When Gong Qi Fan came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Qi Fan couldn't finish the play. Nils Elmhuus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darwin Núñez in the 59th minute of the match. Gong Qi Fan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinto Ampudia couldn't finish the play. The Playa Malvín fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th match minute, Playa Malvín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Wigghers to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Playa Malvín defense, Domingo Jago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Elmhuus. The Playa Malvín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Elmhuus should have stopped the shot. Mateo Llorienzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinto Ampudia in the 93rd minute of play. The Playa Malvín supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Playa Malvín would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
