The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Sundström came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Raphael Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Falleto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Falleto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphael Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Alagoano in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Omar Falleto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Iratze came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Sundström in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Bilintx came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Bilintx in the 19th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Bilintx in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Aníbal Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Falleto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Iratze came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Falleto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Bilintx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Seaman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Sundström came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Sundström in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Sundström in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Seaman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Verner Sundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but David Seaman made a huge save. In the 65th minute of the match, Hugo Iratze tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Seaman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Omar Falleto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. A collision led to Los Podridos ll getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Everardo Felipillo hit a great ball. Everardo Felipillo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Omar Falleto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 72nd minute of play. David Seaman made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Leandro Dunixi sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's David Seaman got control of the ball when Leandro Dunixi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Falleto came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior. But to his dismay, Vinicio Junior quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fulgencio Bilintx took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Seaman. David Seaman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Zé Carlos Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Los Podridos ll had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
