In the 3rd minute Wilian Gulak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilian Gulak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Courtois was a little too slow when Aníbal Alagoano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. When Manoel Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agro Imortal's protests and gave Manoel Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. Fernando Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Agro Imortal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Fernando Courtois throw himself and got hold of the ball when Aníbal Alagoano in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilian Gulak, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Fernando Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Cunha in the 45th minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Courtois was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Wilian Gulak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Courtois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Aníbal Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aníbal Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agro Imortal's Dennis Bergkamp was substituted for Wilian Gulak. Börje Kämpe kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's David Seaman got control of the ball when Dennis Bergkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 75 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Arósio. The throw-in from Börje Kämpe in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Agro Imortal's Oswaldo Bueno. Zé Carlos Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Fernando Courtois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jenipapo SC. Vinicio Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Courtois having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jenipapo SC fully deserved thier win.
