ORIZABA F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Sauveur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oliver Kan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Ferrer in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cyprian Oliszewski in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gianluca Buffon saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. Oliver Kan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 25th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, ORIZABA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sauveur came free, but Oliver Kan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Gelacio notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ORIZABA F.C.'s Oliver Kan. Oliver Kan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cyprian Oliszewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gianluca Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Oliver Kan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After a defensive mix-up in Defensores de Lombroso's zone, Cyprian Oliszewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gianluca Buffon came out of the goal and Cyprian Oliszewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ORIZABA F.C.'s attentive Amílton Loyola managed to snatch the ball when Federico Pirro made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. Oliver Kan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Ferrer in the 60th minute of the match. If Julian Kosakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Defensores de Lombroso's Alan Varela was substituted for Lucio Cordarrol. In the 72nd minute, Alan Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gianluca Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyprian Oliszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When the match was over Defensores de Lombroso could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ORIZABA F.C. throughout the match.
