When Adam Pacholewski came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Newcastle United fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Pankracy Malicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thomas Vollmar took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fanis Geronimidis. Fanis Geronimidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Thomas Vollmar made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Belotaurus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Urre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 51 minutes, Dario Strazzabosco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belotaurus FC and the Newcastle United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Belotaurus FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Strazzabosco. After a defensive mix-up in Belotaurus FC's zone, Zé Paulo Zonta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fanis Geronimidis came out of the goal and Zé Paulo Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Newcastle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1.
