After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Danilo Ocampo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turgut Soyuer in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nery Pumpido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nery Pumpido was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Turgut Soyuer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Turgut Soyuer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Turgut Soyuer came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PREZULO FC's Isaac Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Henry in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Turgut Soyuer in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved GuateFortín from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in GuateFortín's zone, Turgut Soyuer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal and Turgut Soyuer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sven-Edvin Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save GuateFortín from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Edvin Jansson made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Máximo Perrone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GuateFortín made a substitution. Elias Pagomari replaced Stanyo Búnkov. PREZULO FC made a substitution. Betão de Brito replaced Rob Lute. GuateFortín's Pablo Mora was substituted for Máximo Perrone. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Máximo Perrone hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes, PREZULO FC's Ferhat Sertuğ shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nery Pumpido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PREZULO FC reached it. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão de Brito in the 64th minute of the match. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betão de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes PREZULO FC got a freekick which was hit by Franz Beckenbauer. In the 70th minute, Betão de Brito made a precise shot to the right of Nery Pumpido. Isaac Ferreira came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that PREZULO FC were the better team. PREZULO FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
