The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, one of Sledgehammer KO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Benny Bur in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Saleh in the 15th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sledgehammer KO defense, Deilmison van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benny Bur. The Sledgehammer KO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benny Bur should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oğuz Cetin in the 26th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benny Bur was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute Rune Fanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sledgehammer KO's goalkeeper Benny Bur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Benny Bur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Antonio Michael made the kick off in the second half. Benny Bur came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten. But to his dismay, Deilmison van Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 60 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benny Bur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benny Bur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 64th minute of the match. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. Heitor Maldini replaced Betão Marquez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deilmison van Basten in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Bur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benny Bur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Skoog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sledgehammer KO's Aşkın Atik was substituted for Oğuz Cetin. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Mathias Danielsson with Aşkın Atik as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kıraç Otay in the 89th minute of play. Deilmison van Basten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benny Bur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kıraç Otay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguinho Sousa was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Sledgehammer KO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
