San Mauro A Mare FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Torreoncito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fan Liang Chong took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Augusto Graziani heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Pedro Olguín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levent Hicran in the 31st minute of play forced Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wang Ying Yong kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Pedro Olguín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torreoncito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Olguín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samir Afacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borys Okopny in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Mauro A Mare FC's Augusto Graziani got a free kick in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Torreoncito's Elodio Faine was substituted for Robert Dănescu. Samir Afacan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Olguín, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Cristiano Patricelli was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. Samir Afacan went to the wrong direction when Pedro Olguín was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 80th minute Borys Okopny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Afacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qi Guo Yue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Graziani in the 83rd minute. San Mauro A Mare FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fan Liang Chong in the 85th minute. The corner led San Mauro A Mare FC's Fan Liang Chong to fire away a dangerous shot which Qi Guo Yue despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 87 minutes in the game Yu Chen Cheng did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Elodio Faine. Elodio Faine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Afacan having to interfere. Alex Orsi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Qi Guo Yue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. When Augusto Graziani came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the San Mauro A Mare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Graziani couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
