Fire Devils's Loris Hellmüller was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's Goliath Perna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucrețiu Sfetcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Lechințan in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Malcoci in the 42nd minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Furcas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valer Perișoară hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Andreas Furcas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chioreanu in the 94th minute of play. Silviu Latarețu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Walter Fransson made a huge save. The Fire Devils fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
