In the 14th minute, Sixten Sjö ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duda Berger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Duda Berger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Kilstedt's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Sixten Sjö struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Duda Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jonsereds IF. After some careless play in the Aston Villa F.C defense, Sixten Sjö kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duda Berger. The Aston Villa F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duda Berger should have stopped the shot. Duda Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixten Sjö in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Duda Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Aston Villa F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jonsereds IF were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixten Sjö to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixten Sjö got free with Duda Berger in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hans Kilstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duda Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Kilstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Arvid Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixten Sjö blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duda Berger having to make a save. If Elói Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Sixten Sjö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jonsereds IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixten Sjö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sixten Sjö might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duda Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sixten Sjö ran back to his position shaking his head. Lars Hernström hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Duda Berger was a little too slow when Sixten Sjö got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-4. After a rather tough play, Jonsereds IF's Lars Hernström got a free kick in the 96th minute. Chants of Jonsereds IF echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Aston Villa F.C had held the ball for most of the match.
