With an all-out effort, Carloforte f.c.'s Gil Garcia threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dobromir Adamowicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sixten Sjö hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 48th play minutes Sixten Sjö shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Waclaw Zajonc and just under the crossbar into goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lennart Härm was the one to do the kick off. Jonsereds IF's Gil Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Ritacco in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Sixten Sjö had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waclaw Zajonc. Carloforte f.c.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sixten Sjö was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sixten Sjö managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonsereds IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixten Sjö was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixten Sjö got free with Waclaw Zajonc in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Jonsereds IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jonsereds IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
