Vikingbeer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Derwin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. Leon Egun charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Egun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Pes in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Hayles got free with Diego Mon in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reynaldo Stephen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeo Derwin's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute of the match Vikingbeer FC got a corner. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfredo Gomez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Vikingbeer FC defense, Evelio Pes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Mon. The Vikingbeer FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Mon should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute Evelio Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikingbeer FC's Silvano Endira got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Federico Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Veremundo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Stephen saved Club Sportivo Italiano from getting behind.
