SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiao Ang Le in the 3rd minute of play. Umberto Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Giraldo in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rein Rajur in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Grondzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Giraldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Umberto Cunha having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Giraldo got free with Umberto Cunha in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roch Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiao Ang Le in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Groll in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Grondzki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Xande Sharkin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roch Grondzki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 29 minutes into the match, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Oscar Giraldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Umberto Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Oscar Giraldo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Umberto Cunha. Umberto Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Andrzej Brataniec was substituted for Wincent Czeszyk. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Umberto Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
