In the 5th minute, Yan Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 played minutes, Grimório's Lennart Ojarand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benedito Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grimório reached it. Benedito Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tõnis Kaldvee, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Grimório's Waldemar Pawlik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Grimório from getting a goal against them. Benedito Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tõnis Kaldvee in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Éder Madureira in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Pawlik saved Grimório from getting behind. Lennart Ojarand kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Benedito Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kajar Püss in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio da Cunha in the 30th minute of play forced Grimório's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldemar Pawlik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éder Madureira in the 31st minute of play. Benedito Trigo came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Grimório's Kajar Püss. But to his dismay, Kajar Püss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Grimório's Waldemar Pawlik got control of the ball when Éder Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Grimório was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kusti Jaas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Grimório got a freekick which was hit by Kusti Jaas. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yu Yang Sang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Sagarana Clube from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kusti Jaas. With an all-out effort, Grimório's Benedito Trigo threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tõnis Kaldvee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benedito Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Ülipikk in the 61st minute of play. Kajar Püss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Benedito Trigo made a huge save. The Grimório fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Grimório's Kajar Püss looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sagarana Clube made a substitution. Jarbas de Queirós replaced Zé Roberto da Costa. Benedito Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kajar Püss in the 71st minute. Waldemar Pawlik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éder Madureira in the 74th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Éder Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Pawlik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tõnis Kaldvee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Grimório defense, Éder Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldemar Pawlik. The Grimório fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldemar Pawlik should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes into the match, Éder Madureira notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Grimório's Waldemar Pawlik. Waldemar Pawlik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Éder Madureira in the 94th minute of play forced Grimório's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grimório eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
