Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Habil Castolo took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Habil Castolo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Amadeu Lamego to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAO JOANENSE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Genaro Farias was slow to take the kick. During this time the xeneise dream team's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Zacharias Siatzis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a defensive mix-up in SAO JOANENSE FC's zone, Paolo Eutor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal and Paolo Eutor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Lamego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Habil Castolo in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paolo Eutor in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. In the 22nd minute the xeneise dream team were awarded a corner. Genaro Farias went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 23rd minute, Habil Castolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Habil Castolo came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Vinicio Aires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SAO JOANENSE FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elias Veloso in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute SAO JOANENSE FC were awarded a corner. Elias Veloso went to the cornerflag to take it. Genaro Farias kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Dudu Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Lamego made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Habil Castolo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in the xeneise dream team's zone, Dudu Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Aires came out of the goal and Dudu Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Eutor in the 53rd minute of play. Amadeu Lamego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habil Castolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as SAO JOANENSE FC's Elói Cosme slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vinicio Aires. That made the score 1-1 after 60 minutes of play. Jarbas Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarbas Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of the xeneise dream team booed when SAO JOANENSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Farias, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, the xeneise dream team's Zacharias Siatzis got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Habil Castolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habil Castolo in the 69th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes, Murillo Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAO JOANENSE FC and the the xeneise dream team players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Murillo Catarinense hit a great ball. Vinicio Aires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Cosme in the 79th minute. The audience was convinced that Habil Castolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lamego was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elói Cosme got free with Vinicio Aires in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinicio Aires made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Elói Cosme sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the the xeneise dream team players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
