With an all-out effort, De krokante kroketjes's Jan Wessel threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aaron Vibjörnsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. De krokante kroketjes's Jurgen Goris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Piearres Olalla made a kick off. Kong Xuan Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With his leg Jurgen Goris managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The throw-in from Octave De Meesemaeckere in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by The Underdogs's André Luiz Linares. Jan Wessel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Burdzel in the 65th minute of the match. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Burdzel in the 66th minute of play. Jan Wessel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stasio Burdzel went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, De krokante kroketjes's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Jurgen Goris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurgen Goris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iustin Hațegan went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. De krokante kroketjes's Tibo Mampaerts was substituted for Octave De Meesemaeckere. The Underdogs made a substitution. Riemer Fries replaced Frank de Boer. De krokante kroketjes's Nico Everts was substituted for Andreas Iniesta. 88 minutes into the match, De krokante kroketjes's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd. 89 minutes into the match, Stasio Burdzel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Wessel. The Underdogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stasio Burdzel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Stasio Burdzel might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Wessel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stasio Burdzel ran back to his position shaking his head. Stasio Burdzel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Wessel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
