After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano got a free kick in the 5th minute. Aldair Orange recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Shi Ming Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinho Pirani made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Shi Ming Sheng sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tostão Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's attentive Pedrinho Reis managed to snatch the ball when Virgil Oargă made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Benjamim Urbano hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Antoni Kachamakov was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, one of Stiinta-Univ.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stiinta-Univ.. In the 31st minute Zico Orange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Aldair Orange shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Shi Ming Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Edinho Pirani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Eulalio Urbasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno-Henrique Orange. Șerban Rușanu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Eulalio Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Orange, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Zico Orange scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eulalio Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Casemiro Orange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Edinho Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 87th minute of play. Eulalio Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Orange in the 93rd minute of the match. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Stiinta-Univ.'s much stronger midfield.
