Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulizes Sola in the 16th minute of the match. When Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palermo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Mino in the 18th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Nacho González to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Santiago Mino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nacho González was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santiago Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Nacho González made a huge save. Maximino Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Nacho González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Mino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 34th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Mino to maneuver through the defense. Nacho González made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Santiago Mino sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarando Eguizabal in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner. Ziemowit Lampa went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Astillero del Guayas's corner Ziemowit Lampa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredo Joey quite easily take care of the ball. Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulizes Sola in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Zarando Eguizabal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Astillero del Guayas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Palermo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Astillero del Guayas were winning 1-2.

Alfredo Joey made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ulizes Sola sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Ulizes Sola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Astillero del Guayas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. The Astillero del Guayas players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Palermo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
