Leopoldo Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Éric Cantona in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Ziombkowski came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Éric Cantona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Ziombkowski in the 20th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Ziombkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Guayaquil FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Ziombkowski in the 30th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Humberto Barragan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 41st match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Mundo to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Lastur came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jakub Ziombkowski. But to his dismay, Jakub Ziombkowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakub Ziombkowski in the 47th minute of play.

Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren was substituted for Jakub Ziombkowski. Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Zé Pedro Baptista replaced Humberto Barragan. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörn Svartengren made a kick off. When Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leopoldo Lastur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaspar Sabin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sebastian Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jörn Svartengren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leopoldo Lastur. That made the score 0-4 in the 61 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörn Svartengren in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Lastur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Xzavier Palomarez hit a great ball. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Leones FC from getting a goal against them. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 81st minute of play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Jörn Svartengren sped through Leones FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. Leopoldo Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 95 minutes of play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Lastur was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Leones FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter de Guayaquil FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
