The Forever Tango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Giraldo should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, SuRpRiSe's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Raúl Amuchástegui came free, but Hubert Kostka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Forever Tango got a corner. SuRpRiSe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omar Santo ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Santa Jøker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juan Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santa Jøker in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Raúl Amuchástegui in the 30th minute of play forced SuRpRiSe's goalkeeper Hubert Kostka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Forever Tango getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Natalio Benet hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Santa Jøker made the kick off in the second half. Juan Giraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santa Jøker, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 played minutes Forever Tango got a freekick which was hit by Ēriks Jukams. With a little luck, Forever Tango's Juan Giraldo got control of the ball when Santa Jøker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Jøker might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Giraldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santa Jøker ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the match, Forever Tango's goalkeeper Juan Giraldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santa Jøker. Santa Jøker might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Giraldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santa Jøker ran back to his position shaking his head.
