Atahan Balon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Major went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's Norbert Major sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Balon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norbert Major might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atahan Balon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Ljubenković was the one to do the kick off. Sebastião Xoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Ljubenković, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Urtzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastião Xoxe quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pogoń Szczecin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
