Fermin Dolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. Nico Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Dolfo in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldinho Rocha in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basri İhtiyar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Fermin Dolfo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nico Tasso. The goal made the score 3-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yalapa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Bernardinho Paes shot the penalty kick right outside the post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
