KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Verheydt in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Vampiros Aztecas booed when KS LEW Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Maziarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vampiros Aztecas's Rolf Weyand got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Zachariasz Niedbalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Weyand in the 20th minute of play forced KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes KS LEW Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Karwowski. With a little luck, Vampiros Aztecas's Juan Chayo got control of the ball when Wieslaw Maziarski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Hugo Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wit Kasperowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikolaj Budzynski might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Chayo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thomas Verheydt had several of the KS LEW Chorzów's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Wit Kasperowicz as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 82nd minute, Hugo Hernandez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wit Kasperowicz, passed just outside the right post. Thomas Verheydt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-7 to the left of a surprised Wit Kasperowicz 82 minutes into the match. Wit Kasperowicz made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Elliott Granqvist sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolf Weyand. Vampiros Aztecas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
