The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Cipriano Santana got a free kick in the 4th minute. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them. Durval Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petter Skarkman's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Durval Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petter Skarkmans short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Durval Guerra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Petter Skarkman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Durval Guerra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 17th minute, Petter Skarkman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Protegéerna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Skarkman in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Guerra saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. After 25 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Vergílio. Jakob Lundin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Protegéerna's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Durval Guerra was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Petter Skarkman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petter Skarkman really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. When Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Durval Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dito Ramos made a kick off. Michael Näver struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Durval Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protegéerna. Xu Yi Chong hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 58th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Petter Skarkman notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Icoara Football Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Michael Näver was slow to take the kick. During this time Protegéerna's players had a chance to rest. Jakob Lundin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Petter Skarkman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Guerra having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Durval Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Skarkman in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durval Guerra saved Icoara Football Club from getting behind. After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Petter Skarkman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Guerra. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Guerra should have stopped the shot. Protegéerna's Andres Lander was substituted for Fernando Arango. Protegéerna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Michael Näver in the 79th minute. The corner led Protegéerna's Michael Näver to fire away a dangerous shot which Durval Guerra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Python in the 81st minute of play. In the 81st minute Guido Python shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 88th minute of the match. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Skarkman in the 89th minute of play. Guido Python received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Durval Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Protegéerna had played much better football throughout.
