Protegéerna's Jakob Lundin got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Amílton Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Petter Skarkman might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Ugutz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petter Skarkman ran back to his position shaking his head. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petter Skarkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of Protegéerna booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bünyamin Başel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Fantini charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcos Fantini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petter Skarkman to make the kick off. Petter Skarkman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Marcos Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bolo Skjold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amílton Loyola in the 64th minute.
