In the 3rd play minute Peter Vollander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jomari Licuanan. 1-0. Jomari Licuanan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Josefsson in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, IzmirFK's Per-Erik Josefsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jomari Licuanan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 played minutes IzmirFK got a freekick which was hit by Peter Vollander. The IzmirFK fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when IzmirFK's Peter Vollander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zydrunas Karcemarskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lajos Laczkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiki Uustal in the 21st minute of play forced IzmirFK's goalkeeper Zydrunas Karcemarskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gottfrid Allbom kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Savaria getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lajos Laczkó hit a great ball. Zydrunas Karcemarskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lajos Laczkó in the 28th minute of the match. Sporting Savaria were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after IzmirFK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ferenc Beckenbauer took the corner. Adorján Mónos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Peter Vollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, IzmirFK's Peter Vollander dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 41 played minutes IzmirFK got a freekick which was hit by Martin Knutsson. In the 47th minute, Peter Vollander made a precise shot to the right of Jomari Licuanan. Sporting Savaria's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Vollander to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Gottfrid Allbom notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Sporting Savaria's Jomari Licuanan. Jomari Licuanan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zydrunas Karcemarskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lajos Laczkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Peter Vollander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jomari Licuanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sporting Savaria defense, Per-Erik Josefsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jomari Licuanan. The Sporting Savaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jomari Licuanan should have stopped the shot. Per-Erik Josefsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sporting Savaria's Jomari Licuanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Allbom in the 71st minute of play. Kálmán Mbappès short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Zydrunas Karcemarskas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jomari Licuanan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Erik Josefsson went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of IzmirFK booed when Sporting Savaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferenc Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gottfrid Allbom took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jomari Licuanan. Jomari Licuanan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Peter Vollander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jomari Licuanan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Ferenc Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Savaria's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
