The referee ignored Phoenix Strikers's protests and gave Eric Aanuţei a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Phoenix Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Eric Aanuţei. Ionel Panaitoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Betzanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Moldovan came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golden Dragón F.C's Feng Xu Yong quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eric Aanuţei, made in the 46th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Betzanos was the one to do the kick off. Ionel Panaitoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Betzanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54thth minute of the game Dario Betzanos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Strikers's Ionel Panaitoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ionel Panaitoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandez Vizcarreto in the 58th minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Alan Petersen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 61st minute, Dario Betzanos made a precise shot to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. Phoenix Strikers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 67th match minute, Phoenix Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Stelaru to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dario Betzanos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Dario Betzanos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
