In the 17th minute, Rahim Niğdeli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Salvidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. NAGANO F.C were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Menchu FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pertti Koskenkorva took the corner. 22 minutes into the match, Rahim Niğdeli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Salvidor. Menchu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rahim Niğdeli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Mietus in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Menchu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pertti Koskenkorva was slow to take the kick. During this time NAGANO F.C's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriele Batistuta in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vellito Alguerdo saved NAGANO F.C from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Menchu FC's Carlos Campelo got a free kick in the 29th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Rahim Niğdeli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Camilo Salvidor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriele Batistuta took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vellito Alguerdo. Vellito Alguerdo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Vellito Alguerdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Rahim Niğdeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahim Niğdeli in the 62nd minute of the match. Rahim Niğdeli succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 77th playminute. Menchu FC's Arturo Roderigo was substituted for Primitivo Rocendo. NAGANO F.C made a substitution. Teo Alberdi replaced Bar Olo. After 86 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Linhares. Carlos Campelo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 89th minute of play forced NAGANO F.C's goalkeeper Vellito Alguerdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriele Batistuta in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vellito Alguerdo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
