In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lokomotiv Bornova's goalkeeper Sezai Yura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Lokomotiv Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Clayton. 15 minutes into the game, one of Hummerfiskarna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Holger Mattsson had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Ahmet Korcan Gökalp's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sezai Yura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolli Bolla in the 18th minute of play. Andrea De Toro struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Sezai Yura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hummerfiskarna. Tomas Gorbea got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hana Banana. With his leg Sezai Yura managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute of the game Hana Banana made a throw-in which Florin Răducioiu played forward. Germanas Judeikis scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Holger Mattsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sezai Yura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sezai Yura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute Hummerfiskarna were awarded a corner. Florin Răducioiu went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 40th minute, Germanas Judeikis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lokomotiv Bornova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Holger Mattsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Germanas Judeikis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 60 minutes into the match, Bolli Bolla notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Lokomotiv Bornova's Sezai Yura. Sezai Yura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolli Bolla in the 63rd minute of play forced Lokomotiv Bornova's goalkeeper Sezai Yura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hummerfiskarna's Tomas Gorbea got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Hummerfiskarna getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tomas Gorbea hit a great ball. Holger Mattsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Germanas Judeikis went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Arnaldo Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezai Yura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Hummerfiskarna got a corner. Lokomotiv Bornova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florin Răducioiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Hummerfiskarna supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lokomotiv Bornova's performance. The match ended with a win for Lokomotiv Bornova.
