Ricardo Ceberiche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Tristan, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abuba Akotonon FC! Abuba Akotonon FC:s Hugo Orlando Gatti showed great skill when he stopped Romão Mourato:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romão Mourato in the 15th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romão Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romão Mourato in the 21st minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Barbosa came free, but Ricardo Ceberiche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Abuba Akotonon FC got a corner. Roneros F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Genaro Elivareo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romão Mourato in the 33rd minute of the match. Roneros F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cordero Aberasturi in the 34th minute. After 39 minutes of play, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 42 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Rey. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato. But to his dismay, Romão Mourato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romão Mourato to make the kick off. Romão Mourato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Ceberiche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vânderson Barbosa in the 63rd minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romão Mourato in the 71st minute of the match. Roneros F.C.'s Ricardo Ceberiche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 73rd minute of play. Romão Mourato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Orlando Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Roneros F.C.'s Romão Mourato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roneros F.C. made a substitution. Jiang Sha replaced Washington Piedrahita. Roneros F.C. were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Abuba Akotonon FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jiang Sha took the corner. In the 80th minute Witomir Jestrimski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ortiz Apellaniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jiang Sha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roneros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jiang Sha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Orlando Gatti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Ariel Artaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 played minutes Abuba Akotonon FC got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Artaldo. Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Jestrimski in the 95th minute of play. Genaro Elivareo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Witomir Jestrimski came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
