After a defensive mix-up in Basavilbaso FC's zone, Pranas Užkuraitis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orvar Bäckström came out of the goal and Pranas Užkuraitis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Pranas Užkuraitis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orvar Bäckström was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Rudolf Meulman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Rubio, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 31 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Rubio came free, but Rudolf Meulman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pranas Užkuraitis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orvar Bäckström having to make a save. If Pranas Užkuraitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orvar Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pranas Užkuraitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Basavilbaso FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zayvius Bengoechea hit a great ball.
