Lucas Duarte came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Baltazar Clavijo. But to his dismay, Baltazar Clavijo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Lucas Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Levander in the 21st minute of play. Radamel-Falcao García's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yao Zhan Sang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Roger Santa Ana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rdth minute of the game Radamel-Falcao García who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Yao Zhan Sang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel-Falcao García in the 38th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Yao Zhan Sang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Duarte made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Fatih-Sultan Mehmet sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Grover scored 2-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Grover was the one to do the kick off. Lucas Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Grover in the 54th minute of play. Lucas Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Levander in the 56th minute of the match. Radamel-Falcao García took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yao Zhan Sang. Yao Zhan Sang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 67th minute, Haroldo Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Ordono Balda was substituted for Tiago Clavell. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Boris Gustavsson was substituted for Martial Haas. 70 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Clavijo came free, but Lucas Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Fatih-Sultan Mehmet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borussia Dortmund made a substitution. Bertran Castillo replaced Emesto Llames. The supporters of E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fatih-Sultan Mehmet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Ordono Balda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yao Zhan Sang skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Raymon Tramontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymon Tramontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltazar Clavijo might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltazar Clavijo ran back to his position shaking his head. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Lucas Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Clavijo in the 83rd minute of play. Borussia Dortmund's Fatih-Sultan Mehmet suffered a sore thigh after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Raymon Tramontes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Grover came free, but Lucas Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Ordono Balda came free, but Yao Zhan Sang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yao Zhan Sang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ordono Balda in the 90th minute. Louis Alebio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Yao Zhan Sang when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Fernando Grover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
