Yao Zhan Sang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radamel-Falcao García's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Grover in the 34th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Lucas Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Grover made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Grover got free with Lucas Duarte in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fernando Grover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Clavijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Duarte having to interfere. Lucas Duarte stood somewhat misplaced when Fernandez Quintairos came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 94 minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
