This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Mert Günok as he didn't even see the shot coming. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Özbek, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Lupe Bower who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Laulaja in the 33rd minute of play forced Bir Garip Oyun's goalkeeper Mert Günok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bir Garip Oyun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar Kuoppala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 56th minute Eero Uusipaavalniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mert Günok saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
