Manchester United FC's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Arlikevičius in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Luca Savinov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octave Soetemans kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Luca Savinov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Teodelina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 29th minute, Teodelina FC's Lukas Arlikevičius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Kuoppala in the 32nd minute of play forced Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Franko Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukas Arlikevičius in the 34th minute. Franko Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eero Uusipaavalniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lukas Arlikevičius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Teodelina FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gyuro Tzonkin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taisto Pentsinen in the 53rd minute of play forced Teodelina FC's goalkeeper Franko Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franko Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taisto Pentsinen in the 55th minute of play. Teodelina FC's Lukas Arlikevičius got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Valdemar Kuoppala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eero Uusipaavalniemi had several of the Teodelina FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Franko Armani as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Manchester United FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
