After 4 minutes of play, Hammarby IF's Gösta Söderberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Sanchez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hammarby IF's Francesco Totti in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sutura's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Sutura booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Mossberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when Sutura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Gonza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Paublo in the 20th minute of the match. Sutura's Rolando Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Totti in the 21st minute of play. Gösta Söderberg took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Sanchez. Rolando Sanchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rolando Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Gösta Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Sanchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Sutura's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Dominguez came free, but Rolando Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sutura booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Bremming didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sutura's Ryan Peterson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Sutura's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Söderberg came free, but Rolando Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holger Vester made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Bartolo Paublo sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Celedonio Dominguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Sanchez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Agustin Elorri fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sutura's protests and gave Agustin Elorri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sutura getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Agustin Elorri hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Gösta Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Paris lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Sutura getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Claudio Paris hit a great ball. Hammarby IF's Isaltino Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sutura players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hammarby IF were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celedonio Dominguez to make the kick off. After 58 minutes Sutura's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Isaltino Paes who took care of the corner kick. Isaltino Paes made a great header on Hammarby IF's corner, it was just that Sutura's Rolando Sanchez managed to reach the ball for a save. Rolando Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Controller Serapio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Celedonio Dominguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rolando Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francesco Totti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Rolando Sanchez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rolando Sanchez made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Francesco Totti sent off a good shot on target. Hammarby IF made a substitution. Karl-Johan Sundén replaced Francesco Totti. In the 84th minute of the match Hammarby IF got a corner. Sutura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isaltino Paes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Basilio Steven struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Holger Vester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutura. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Paublo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Holger Vester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Sanchez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celedonio Dominguez went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Holger Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Paublo in the 96th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Gösta Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Söderberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Hammarby IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sutura throughout the match.
