An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenz Mendi in the 18th minute of play forced Katowice i Kluczbork's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Ryszard Murdza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Rocio. Reall Madrid Marienburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryszard Murdza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The corner led Katowice i Kluczbork's Julian Jaszcz to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeo Rocio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Kapelski notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Katowice i Kluczbork's Arkadiusz Smolarek. Arkadiusz Smolarek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boleslaw Banach kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Amadeo Rocio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Murdza, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The corner ended in Julian Jaszcz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Reall Madrid Marienburg's Amadeo Rocio did a great save. When Reall Madrid Marienburg's Czeslaw Kapelski in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Katowice i Kluczbork booed when Reall Madrid Marienburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwo Dejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeo Rocio came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Katowice i Kluczbork's Ryszard Murdza. But to his dismay, Ryszard Murdza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ryszard Murdza was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lajos Bögi in the 54th minute of play forced Katowice i Kluczbork's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Smolarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arkadiusz Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenz Mendi in the 57th minute of play. Arkadiusz Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Kapelski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lajos Bögi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arkadiusz Smolarek having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Barros got free with Arkadiusz Smolarek in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Katowice i Kluczbork getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Osvaldinho Lewandowski hit a great ball. Katowice i Kluczbork's Artur Zajonc was substituted for Julian Jaszcz. The supporters of Reall Madrid Marienburg booed when Katowice i Kluczbork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Lewandowski took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Rocio. Amadeo Rocio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 79 minutes into the match, Ryszard Murdza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Rocio. Arkadiusz Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Qian Kuan in the 89th minute of the match. Amadeo Rocio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Jörg Milbradt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reall Madrid Marienburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katowice i Kluczbork the free kick. After a rather tough play, Reall Madrid Marienburg's Jörg Milbradt got a free kick in the 93rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Reall Madrid Marienburg players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Katowice i Kluczbork.
