After 5 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Hägert. Argyris Papapetrou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chen Ao Fan in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rıza Vuralhan saved Strömsbro IF from getting behind. Fred Allbom kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rıza Vuralhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kevin Keegan. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Rıza Vuralhan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 14 minutes, Hans Petersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skövde AIK and the Strömsbro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde AIK's zone, Mao Jun Yun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Wahlnäs came out of the goal and Mao Jun Yun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Igor Bambas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olov Wahlnäs. Skövde AIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Igor Bambas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mao Jun Yun kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Strömsbro IF's Rıza Vuralhan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Strömsbro IF from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Bambas in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olov Wahlnäs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lukas Hallgren hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Chen Ao Fan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Rıza Vuralhan made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Igor Bambas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olov Wahlnäs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 37 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Keegan came free, but Rıza Vuralhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Strömsbro IF's Rıza Vuralhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 37th minute of play. Krister Uggstedt hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Rıza Vuralhan made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Kevin Keegan sent off a good shot on target. Kevin Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Rıza Vuralhan made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Bambas came free, but Olov Wahlnäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Skövde AIK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Strömsbro IF were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Chen Ao Fan made the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Hallgren. A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Krister Uggstedt with Knut Rudberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rıza Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Kurt Hamrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıza Vuralhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Olov Wahlnäs got control of the ball when Igor Bambas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rıza Vuralhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Rudberg in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Bambas in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Wahlnäs saved Skövde AIK from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Igor Bambas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Bambas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olov Wahlnäs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Skövde AIK made a substitution. Jerry Williams replaced Chen Ao Fan. After some careless play in the Strömsbro IF defense, Jerry Williams kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rıza Vuralhan. The Strömsbro IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rıza Vuralhan should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Norström. The Skövde AIK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Strömsbro IF to win.
