The Kolopetinitsa fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Kolopetinitsa's Nial Peyton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 22nd minute of play forced Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Carlos Leclerc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Leclerc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nial Peyton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nial Peyton to make the kick off.
