Emery Heller took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Leclerc. Carlos Leclerc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pirmin Jäggi in the 29th minute of play forced Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Carlos Leclerc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Linhares's late challenge caught a FC Wil 1900's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jumeuc Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jeremias Linhares hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Francisco da Cunha made the kick off in the second half. İlkan Mahşer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Georges Gladu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leclerc having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Ivan Dové shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Leclerc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Pirmin Jäggi took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Carlos Leclerc to make any attempt to save it.
