When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Edgar Costa put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Isaltino Couto. Edgar Costa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Salvador Lousada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garanhão do SUL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Lousada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Velloso struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ignatius Casasola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Danone CC. After 24 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Akis Kefallinos. 25 minutes into the match, Diguinho Teles notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola. Ignatius Casasola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Isaltino Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Teves, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Isaltino Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Costa in the 31st minute. Virgílio Teves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Isaltino Couto made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Torcato Rebocho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isaltino Couto, 2-2. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Enéas Carneiro in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ignatius Casasola, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Enéas Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Samuel McQuarrie. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Leizarraga in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
