An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilla Bumin Hızlan in the 25th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Nikiforenko came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores del Tiki Tiki's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
